Surfing Confirmed for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games


The Pan American Surfing Association is celebrating surfing’s inclusion in the program for the upcoming Pan American Games.

The Pan American Surfing Association (PASA) is pleased to announce the official confirmation of surfing as part of the sports program for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games. This news was received via a communication from Panam Sports, signed by its President, Neven Ilic, and dated June 18, 2025.

The Lima 2027 Pan American Games will take place from July 16 to August 1, 2027. The specific quota and events for surfing will be confirmed by Panam Sports soon.

“We are incredibly excited and grateful to Panam Sports for continuing to include surfing in the Lima 2027 Pan American Games,” stated Karin Sierralta, President of the Pan American Surfing Association. “We are confident that the responsible and organized work of our Association and the member National Federations is an important pillar for these decisions.”

This confirmation comes at a key moment, just before the upcoming Pan American Surfing Games in Guatemala, which will undoubtedly increase anticipation and enthusiasm among competitors and fans.

The PASA Games Guatemala 2025 Pan American Surfing Festival begins on July 3 at Playa Rosario, Guatemala, and concludes on July 13. You can follow the event live at www.pasasurf.org.
