- From December 2 – 8 Punta Rocas, Peru, will host more than 300 athletes from 20 nations, looking for a spot in Lima 2019
- Opening will be held on Sunday December 2 at 11:00am, starting with a Parade that will begin in Mirador Anali Flores.
Punta Rocas will be the capital of continental surfing beggining on Sunday, December 2 with the start of the 2018 Pan American Claro Games, organized by the Pan American Surf Association (PASA).
Over 300 athletes from 20 countries will be competing to qualify to Lima 2019 Pan American Games.
The Opening Parade of the Pan American Claro Games 2018, sponsored by Hyundai, Sporade and Quiksilver, will take place at 11:00am starting at the Mirador Anali Gomez in Av Sunset, Punta Hermosa.
PASA President Karin Sierralta said “Punta Rocas will continue to be part of the world history of Surfing. This time is the qualifiers to Lima 2019 which gives the opportunity for athletes of the Americas a door to Tokio 2020 and to write their names in the history books”.
The qualification system to Lima 2019, announced by Pan Am Sports, includes the XIV Pan American Surfing Games as an official qualification event, along with events of the International Surfing Association, APP World Tour and the ALAS Latin Tour.
