Bodyboard Men Finalist are ready at the 2024 PASA Games.

Today we started with the advance series; for SUP Surf, we presented repechages and second rounds. In the case of the men’s bodyboard, we saw the semifinal competition, which showcased the athletes who will compete in the grand final. For the women’s bodyboard, the third round is still to be determined as we continue to advance.

The waves, as predicted, grew a few centimeters, and as usual, the sea was calm early on, with some wind appearing in the afternoon, which strangely continued into sunset. Under these conditions, the men’s bodyboard athletes entered the water, already displaying their skills with well-executed rolls and projected aerials, all combined with classic 360-degree spins. The standout performers from round 3 were Alfonso Aguilar from Mexico with a combined score of 15.83 points and Socrates Santana from Brazil with 12.67 points.

In the semifinals, Brazilians Diego Gomes and Santana took the top two spots, leaving the Mexican competitor behind. In the other semifinal, the battle for first place resumed between Panamanian Ewin Nuñez and Moises Silva from Chile, both of whom advanced to the final, while Colombian Rubén Villegas was eliminated from this heat.

Tomorrow, the finals will start at 8 AM, as we hope for the best sea conditions to present an excellent show for this category, which makes its return at these Pan American Surf Games.

In women’s bodyboard, Maira Viana from Brazil (16.17 points) and her compatriot Maylla Venturin (10.17 points) continue to rise quickly; closely followed by Luz Marie Grande from Puerto Rico with 9.56 points. Tomorrow, this category will continue its progression towards the semifinals.

In Women’s SUP Surf, the standout performers from round 2 were Vania Torres from Peru with 12.67 points and Brazilian Gaby Sztamfater with 10.83 points. We now know the first semifinalists: Torres and Ruiz from Peru, along with Sztamfater. The second heat will feature Cosoleto from Argentina, Adisaka from Brazil, and Bowen from Ecuador.

In the men’s semifinals, the competitors will be Sebastian Gomez (Peru), Franco Faccin (Argentina), Wellington Reis (Brazil), and Dave De Armas (Puerto Rico); the second heat will consist of Maximilian Torres (Puerto Rico), Luiz Diniz (Brazil), Gerónimo Rogers (Argentina), and Tamil Martino (Peru).
