Surfing is expected to be one of the highlights at the start of the XII Central American Games Guatemala 2025, featuring 46 top athletes from five nations. Delegations from Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and host country Guatemala are already geared up to hit the waves and compete for medals across various categories.
The competition, which will be held in Monterrico on Guatemala’s Pacific coast, promises to be highly demanding and a top-tier spectacle for fans across the region. Not only will the event crown the new Central American champions, but it will also serve as a crucial test event (“fogueo”) in preparation for the Olympic cycle.
The diverse group of surfers competing across different disciplines highlights the growth and expansion of this sport in Central America.
